Jack Frost visits Cypress!
Jack Frost paid us a visit this week! Our playground and field were sparkling with ice towards the end of the week and Little Cypress was filled with a multitude of gloves, mittens, hats, scarves and winter coats. We had great fun throughout the day trying to match the lost gloves with their rightful owners! We had a wonderful time in the Adventure Playground exploring the frost and trying to keep our hands and noses warm! On Friday, we even saw a flurry of snow!
Makaton Sign of the Week
As usual, we have learned a new Makaton Sign of the Week. This week, we have learned the sign for computer. Click here to see how to sign computer.
November is the new December!
Christmas is getting earlier and earlier each year! We have started getting in the Christmas Spirit in Nursery and Rainbows by making decorations for our Christmas hoops. Rainbows made wonderful Christmas presents and Nursery made beautiful pine cone Christmas trees and reindeers. They are now on display in the Lower School Hall and look fantastically festive! The Christmas crafting is in full swing with our making of Christmas bags and plenty more planned for the next few weeks. We have been practising our Christmas songs and sounding in great voice..(mainly!)
This week we have loved ordering objects according to size, as well as exploring capacity through water play. A group of boys sorted all the mini chairs and matched them up with the Compare Bears. They were very proud of their efforts!
Have a lovely weekend and it was fabulous to see so many of you at the Winter Fair at Lower Site after school on Friday. Santa’s helpers said they saw many Little Cypress children visiting Father Christmas and they must have all been VERY good all year as they came out of Santa’s Grotto clutching early Christmas presents!
