What a fantastic few weeks we have had in Gold class! In the first half-term, we made bird feeders to hang in our garden to help the birds that visit stay well-fed. We have also been learning about autumn by looking at the changes in the weather, trees and the plants around us. You can support your children at home, by visiting your local park with your child to observing and discuss the seasonal changes with your child.
Over the last few weeks, we have been talking about important celebrations and events in our communities such as, Diwali and Bonfire Night. We have been busy making Mandala clay decorations and lots of firework related art and play. We are now learning about the story of ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear’. Please find below a link to the story so that you can share this with your child at home:
Over the next few weeks, we are having a Maths focus around shapes. Last week, we looked at circles, children enjoyed hunting for circles in the environment. They even found tiny ones on the tables outside! Please help your child look for and discuss shapes in your home and the environment around us.
