There has been a lot of Easter fun going on in the Early Years at Atwood. The children are all getting very excited about a certain bunny coming and are sharing how they celebrate this festival.
In Reception have been reading the story, “Croc Goes to the Dentist”. We shared our own experiences of going to the dentist and thought about why we need to look after our teeth. We had a visit from a dentist, who gave us a fantastic overview of how she helps people with their teeth. The children learned about the importance of the number two, as we need to brush our teeth twice a day, visit the dentist twice a year, and that we have 20 baby teeth. We investigated how well we have been brushing our teeth. We brushed our teeth in school (what a strange thing to do!) and then used a disclosing tablet that colours the plaque in your mouth to show you where you need to brush better.
