Mr Veale’s Welcome Harvest Festival 2022 Harvest Festival 2022 has launched! 

This half term, year 3 have undertaken a cross-curricular exploration of dinosaurs. 

Mr Veale’s Welcome Once again, it has been a very busy week here at Atwood. 

Last week, Year 3 were studying the fantastically evocative poem called ‘From a Railway Carriage’ by Robert Louis Stevenson. 

Mr Veale’s Welcome It certainly has been an autumnal week, with temperatures dropping significantly. 

Next week sees the launch of our new FREE sessions for the community at the Willows Family Centre at Ecclesbourne Primary School.

What a ‘smashing’ assembly! Children from Atwood were amazed by the skill of two coaches from TKD this morning, when they smashed through a wooden block.

This year at Atwood, all of our corridor displays are showcasing famous artists. 

Year 6 Brave the Lake! Here is a small selection of the photos taken at the lake at the Stubbers Activity Centre on Tuesday 20th Sept.

Intrepid Heroes Year 6 braved a rather chilly night under canvas at Stubbers Activity Centre. 

Welcome I would like to extend a very warm welcome to parents and carers, old and new and of course, to our wonderful children here at Atwood.

Our current Thematic topic in Year 3 is a local area study about Crystal Palace. 

Pupils from KS2 Benefit from Lunchtime Coaching Pupils in KS2 are benefiting from lunchtime coaching led by Sports After School (SAS). 

Our new year 3 cohort has had a fantastic start to their Key Stage 2 career. 

It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II today.
