This term in Thematic Year 2 have been learning about London. They began by learning about The Great Fire of London and have learned how this historic event has changed our capital city. In March, both classes visited London and were able to see for themselves some of the incredible landmarks London has to offer. Highlights included The Monument, which was built to remember The Great Fire of London, Tower Bridge and The Shard. They even visited Pudding Lane, which is where The Great Fire of London began. In English this week, children have been researching and learning facts about The Tower of London, The Monument and The Shard. Using this information, they have written and published their own information leaflets about our wonderful capital city.
