WHINF kicked off book week in inspirational style this week with a visit from a young author. Isis Damali published her first book when she was 9 years old! As a young author based in Lewisham it was very exciting for our children to see someone so young having such early writing success. Damali shared her story ‘Isis Meets Isis’ with the children in an assembly. It was impressive to see a young lady have such confidence in front of a large audience. All the classes now have a copy of this book in their classrooms and I know lots of children have been inspired to write their own stories.
