One of our core values at Pegasus is that we ‘strive to be independent learners’. Life is about learning new things and I am always really impressed with the projects that our children undertake at home, independently. Some of these projects are linked to their thematic ‘choosing’ homework, but sometimes a child comes to show me something that they made just because they were inspired by work they were doing in class. That is how I met this beautiful bird of paradise, linked to the Year 5 English topic on the Rainforest. There is some lovely thematic homework coming in and we look forward to putting it on display during our Museum Day on Friday 7th February.
