Last week, Year 2 visited Hampton Court Palace as we have been learning about the Tudors in our Thematic lessons. We visited Henry VIII’s apartments and even saw a replica of his crown! We couldn’t believe how many diamonds and pearls were on it. Next, we entered the ‘Great Hall’ where Henry’s servants ate their banquet. In the afternoon, we had a workshop all about Tudor life. We learnt how to greet the king and how to dance like a Tudor. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered, it was a fantastic day!
