As you may know, the children in year 2 have been learning all about the seaside. They have learnt about Victorian seaside resorts as part of their studies and in their geography lessons they have been looking at physical features of a beach. This week, they finally got to experience the seaside – from the sandy shores to the high cliffs. It was lovely day out for the children to experience some of their learning in a real life setting. Although it was a long journey, all the children agreed that it was a great day. They had a great time splashing in the sea, building sandcastles and burying each other in the sand.
Thank you to all the parents and carers who kindly volunteered to join us on this wonderful outing.
