At the end of last week, Whitehorse Manor Juniors were host to the first Pegasus mixed-football tournament, with teams consisting of both boys and girls. Each of the schools in the Trust participated, as well as Paxton Academy. Players in the Whitehorse Team were Doniel, Paulina, Sfreylin, Jesiah, Brook, Santrell, Ja’nnay, Andrea, Elijah and Jaden. All of the participating teams played with 100% effort and great team spirit in each of their 5 matches; they were a formidable group of teams. Whitehorse performed well in the group stages, progressing to the semi-finals, where they met Atwood Primary School and then to the final against Ecclesbourne Primary School. It was in this final game, that Doniel scored the winning goal, and Whitehorse secured a memorable victory, becoming the overall Tournament Champions. The team received a trophy and each player a winner’s medal. Whitehorse Manor Juniors are also top of the group in their Football league. Well done Whitehorse, and all of the teams who took part, we are all so proud of you!
