We had such a Super Science Week at Beulah and conducted exciting investigations in every year group! On the last day of science week, we had a very special assembly where each class, reception, year 1 and year 2 shared their learning during assembly. In nursery, the children investigated what happens when you put Menthos into coke. In reception, they investigated the changing states of matter. They shook cream for a long time until it finally changed into a solid state – butter! In year 1, the children conducted a fair test to show celery take up water. They stood celery in identical amounts of different coloured water and observed daily for changes. In year 2 the children made bee hotels, lava lamps and lots more! We had such a fun and exciting science week, working as scientists!
