Nursery has had a lovely first week back. We have been learning all about travel, which has encouraged some great conversations about what sort of transport we’ve been on and where we have gone. We also had our very own car wash and made marks with wheels.
We had a visit from an oral health visitor who showed us how we can brush our teeth properly using a pea-sized amount of toothpaste and brushing for the right length of time. Our visitor showed us a puppet show about needing to visit the dentist. This allowed us to understand what would happen when we do see the dentist. He also answered some questions we had.
We were very excited to come back to see our tadpoles. They haven’t grown their legs yet but we are excited to see when they do. We were also shocked by the length of our broad beans; we couldn’t believe how fast they had grown. We also went to Forest Learning this week, using magnifying glasses to explore our environment and investigate what leaves and bark look like up close. Congratulations to the children who have received their school placements, I know a lot of them are excited about this and we can’t wait to hear all about it and help you prepare for Reception.
