It was a pleasure watching 5P Jutland Class share their learning in an assembly about The Rainforest today. The Rainforest topic in Year 5 links to both our English and thematic (geography) curriculums, with pupils reading The Great Kapok Tree by Lynne Cherry whilst learning about deforestation. A host of animals implored the axeman to think carefully before chopping down the tree, pupils shared South American dance moves and there was a small scale invasion by a lone Viking raider (escaping from the thematic (history) curriculum!) Well done 5P! It was a treat.
