We started the day at the Lower School today with a fabulous assembly from Ruby Class. The children taught us all about Advent and the importance of this time of year in the Christian calendar. We learnt about the Advent wreath and what each of the candles mean. Ruby Class also explained other ways in which Advent is marked. This included Advent calendars and Christingles. We were also treated to two wonderful songs which had everyone in the audience dancing along. What an informative assembly!
Thank you Ruby class. We were all so impressed with your confidence and you all demonstrated excellent prosody when reading your lines. Your singing and dancing made us all smile and made a wonderful start to our day.
Thank you to Miss Ellis for all hard work getting the children ready for their assembly. A big thank you to all the parents and carers who were able to join us this morning. You really encouraged the children and gave them so much confidence.
