Autumn Vibes in Little Cypress
It has started to feel a little more autumnal in Little Cypress this week! We have noticed the change in the weather and that the leaves are changing colour and falling from the trees. Some of us have found conkers in the park this week and have brought them in to show the other children.
We have been thinking about the colours of the leaves in autumn and been doing some amazing art work in Nursery using different shapes to print with. We explored the colours: orange, red, yellow, brown, gold and bronze. Rainbows have made their own autumn leaf pictures with similar colours, as well as their colourful KIndness Tree, made up of their handprints.
In Little Cypress, we are continuing to learn to be part of a larger group; to share and take turns. If we all want to play with the same thing, we are learning to wait our turn by waiting for the sand timer to finish.
Little Cypress Curriculum Meeting
Thank you to those who came to our Little Cypress Curriculum Meeting earlier in the week. We hope you found the information helpful. For those of you who couldn’t attend, please find the slides from the meeting here
Makaton Sign of the WeekÂ
As always, we are learning a Makaton sign each week. This week we have learned the sign for ‘cow’. Click here to learn how to sign the word cow.
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and we would love you to look for any signs of autumn in the park if you are out and about. Please bring any treasures in to Little Cypress next week for us to look at together.
