Today, we have had the pleasure of having Joshua Siegal (an author/poet) visiting Whitehorse Manor Junior School.
The day started with a whole school assembly, in which Joshua performed a selection of his poems. They were extremely engaging (with lots of audience participation- the children had to shout out key words and use actions when directed). It was full of energy and the children were a great audience.
Joshua Siegal continued his day with us by working with each of the Year 3 classes. He worked with the children to support them in being able to write their own poem about their favourite places.
It has been such a great day and a fantastic opportunity for the children to listen to poems, read poems and write their own poems.
