Over the past two weeks Nursery have visited Forest School for their first time. It was important to talk about the Forest School Rules before all the fun could begin! We read the story ‘Nature Trail’ by Benjamin Zephaniah to explore what animals we might find hiding in Forest School. The children said we might see “worms”, “spiders”, “birds” and “mice”. After our story we explored our Forest School site, including the tent, bug hotel, polytunnel and fire circle. There was lots of fun to be had from digging for worms and jumping in muddy puddles to making ‘forest tea’ and playing hide and seek. We are all so excited to go again next week.
