Last week, children in Year 6 prepared and delivered speeches to put themselves forward to represent their house as a House Captain. There were many impressive speeches, in which candidates promised to rally their team, introduce new playground games and inspire victory on sports’ days. After some careful consideration, children across the school cast their votes.
Well done to all of the children who put themselves forward for these positions and to the following children on their success:
Athens – House Captain: Oskar, Vice Captain: Zile, Monitors: Jordan and Laiba
Corinth – House Captain: Coco, Vice Captain: Cruiz, Monitors: Shariyah and Shelika
Sparta – House Captain: Rafaella, Vice Captain: Dario, Monitors: Alexis and Micah
Olympia – House Captain: Khalel, Vice Captain: Jaiyana , Monitors: Damian and Sianna
These children have now formed our school council to help drive new initiatives and improve our school. They have already met for their first school council meeting and we can’t wait to see them grow in these leadership positions.
