Children got the surprise of their lives when they got to meet Ava, a half girl half osprey, from a story they read in class before visiting the London Wetlands Centre. She explained to the children that nature feels that humans don’t care about the animals and plants on the planet. So the children were grouped and sent all over the Centre to complete activities and find answers to questions about Ava and her family. The children proved that humans DO care about our natural environment and learned about how they can help. Children have the opportunity to continue to help by earning virtual badges online and have also been given a FREE FAMILY TICKET to visit the Wetland Centre. An amazing day out and a really important message heard by all.
