This week Reception have been reading the story ‘Zog and the Flying Doctors’ by Julia Donaldson. They have really enjoyed the story and have loved learning new vocabulary such as stethoscope, vaccination and treatment. The children had a go at a bit of role play where they could be a doctor and offer a treatment for their ‘patient’. They have also been writing prescriptions, making nurses hats, doctors bags and creating their own ‘Zog’ using paper plates. I think we have several doctors in the making here at Whitehorse!
