We have had a fantastic week in Little Cypress, focusing on rhymes as part of National Poetry Day (Thursday, 7th October). We have been listening to and learning lots of nursery rhymes. We have been trying to learn our favourite rhyme by heart: There was an old lady who swallowed a fly. We enjoyed thinking of all the different animals that the old lady swallowed, counting them and working out which order they were eaten in! What fantastic counting and ordering skills!
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and would love it if you could share some of your favourite nursery rhymes with your child and they can tell us all about them next week!
