This week, Year 6 have been on a fantastic adventure. They set off on Monday to Stubbers Adventure Centre for a week of activities and fun. The coach was packed full of bedding and some very large suitcases and after a short journey the children arrived at their tented camp- home for the week.
The children have been doing all sorts of exciting things including a wide range of water sports and challenges. Climbing, kayaking, axe throwing, rifle shooting, banana boat riding, dirt-boarding and a whole host of other thrill seeking endeavours. As well as being a fun week, the time away from home offers the children are real chance to develop their independence, strengthen friendships, grow as a team and push themselves out of their comfort zone.
We look forward to welcoming them back and hearing all about their adventures after a weekend of rest and recovery. Many thanks to all the staff who gave up their time to support the trip and without whom it would not have been possible.
