Year 5 had a fantastic day out yesterday at London’s famous British Museum. After an exciting train and tube journey into town, the children were full of enthusiasm for the swaths of statues, carvings, paintings and weapons on display.
Highlights included some beautiful Viking artefacts, to tie in with our current topic, as well as some jaw dropping spectacles in the African zone. Children were particularly enthralled by the ‘Tree of Life’ which celebrates the courage of the people of Mozambique in the face of adversity.
