Year 5’s recent trip to the Tower of London, part of our thematic topic on Crime and Punishment, was an unforgettable adventure into history. We marveled at the glittering Crown Jewels and listened intently to a captivating talk about the notorious figures who were imprisoned at the Tower for various crimes throughout the centuries, including tales of daring escapes. Exploring the numerous rooms, we were intrigued to learn about the Tower of London’s diverse past roles, including its time as a menagerie for over 600 years! The mystery surrounding the princes in the Tower particularly fascinated us, sparking imaginations and deepening our understanding of how important this landmark was in London’s history.
