Atwood Year 5 go to Carroty Wood!
On the 17th March, the children from Y5 travelled to Carroty Wood, an outdoor activity centre in Tonbridge. During their two night stay, they enjoyed taking part in a range of team building and physical activities, which included: climbing, abseiling, high ropes, biking, pedal karts, archery and bush craft. A highlight of the trip was the opportunity to complete the leap of faith. Megan, Lavender Class, said, ” It was an amazing and fun adventure! I enjoyed watching people overcome their fears.” We also had the chance to introduce a little competition between the boys and girls. Jay, Teal Class, said, “Pedal karting was fun. I liked racing the girls!”
Visiting Carroty Wood was a fantastic opportunity for personal development. The children all proved themselves to be independent, resilient, kind and supportive young people.
