Today, the financial education charity RedSTART visited Ecclesbourne to deliver workshops to our Year 5 children. RedSTART aims to transform the life chances of young people by starting them early on learning skills around money management. They work in partnership with major financial institutions, local businesses and a large network of volunteers.
Working with RedSTART, our children are learning about saving, budgeting, borrowing, how to avoid scams and how public money is spent. Today our Year 5 pupils enjoyed a carousel of fun, interactive learning experiences designed to develop practical skills and support them in understanding how financial security (or lack thereof) can affect emotional wellbeing.
