Year 3 had the opportunity to visit and sign up for their very own library card for South Norwood library!
The lovely librarian, Sue, gave the children an informative talk about how the books are organised in alphabetical order, how to borrow books and the the wide range of genres that are stocked in the library. Sue showed us some of her favourite books, including ‘The Lost Words’ and ‘Something About a Bear’, and even showed us some familiar books that are also stocked in our Cypress library. We enjoyed the children’s library upstairs and spent time reading some of these books. Have a look at the pictures below to see what books we chose. There seems to be an upcoming Maths genius in Year 3!
All of the children that signed up to get a library card, received theirs on the day and got to use them to borrow a book.
Information from South Norwood library is also attached below for library cards and opening times.
We really enjoyed the day and I’m sure South Norwood library will now be very busy with Year 3 and library cards will be in full swing!
Thank you to the parent volunteers that supported us on this trip.
