This year a number of pupils from Brigstock attended a gardening club at Lion Road Allotments. They worked alongside children from EPS and Winterbourne girls to cultivate an area of wasteland into a productive organic garden. From making the garden beds (using carpentry skills) to sowing seeds, weeding and watering the children created their own little oasis. To celebrate our harvest some of the children were treated to a BBQ with Levi Roots and the Mayor of Croydon. Levi used the fresh produce harvested from the garden that very afternoon to create his culinary delights. Thank you to all the volunteers from the community Green Project who gave their time to support and educate the children on their gardening journey to crop success!
