FIZZ POP Science visited Whitehorse Manor this week. We were intrigued to see all the amazing things you can achieve with air!
As part of our ‘Africa’ topic this term, our children attended a couple of dance workshops, led by a drummer and a dancer from Ghana.

In Year 1, we have had a busy time looking at colours and patterns in our art work.
Last Friday, we had a visit from ‘Fizz Pop’, who came to our school to inspire our children for science week.
Last week, the children at Beulah were very busy making crowns and flags for our Jubilee celebrations on Thursday.
Children have been focusing on plants this term in science. Getting hands on, we planted our own broad bean plants and have been eagerly watching them shoot up ever since.
Today Whitehorse Manor Infants School celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We were so impressed with the effort and creative outfits that the children came dressed in, using red, white, and blue from the Union Jack.
The children had fun today celebrating the up coming Queen’s Jubilee.

Thanks to our first delivery from the Felix project we were able to set up our first market stall providing our families with fresh, nutritious foods.
Last week, Beulah children had an explosive visit from the Royal Institute!
This half term our focus author is Anthony Browne. He has won many awards for his work including the Kate Greenaway Medal (twice), the Kurt Maschler Award (three times) and in June 2009 Anthony was announced as the sixth Children’s Laureate.
We were very excited to celebrate Eid together at Beulah today and hear all about the exciting celebrations that will take place next week.
This half-term Year 1 children have been busy developing their mapping skills and learning about map features such as compass points, key and symbols.
