Year 1 have used their scientific knowledge of materials to design a boat in their DT lessons. They needed to ensure their boat could float, did not leak and could hold two Lego characters for one minute. After they had drawn their design, the children enjoyed making their boat from a variety of materials. Then the boats were ready to test! Year 1 took their finished boats out to test in the water and were very pleased when many of them floated for one minute holding the Lego characters. Great work Year 1!
