Last Tuesday, Year 1 had a fantastic time at All Saints Church learning about the Christmas story. When we arrived, we were organised into groups and then participated in a variety of Christmas Crafts. Each group, created an angel, a manger, a star and finally a box containing a chocolate coin. These activities were all lots of fun and we really enjoyed completing them. Throughout the session, the Christmas story was shared and we opened presents, which contained pictures from the story. We were very excited to see which part of the story would be revealed in each of the presents. At the end of the session, each picture was stuck in a Christmas story book, which we could take home to keep in the classroom. We couldn’t wait to take our Christmas crafts home and we were very proud of the book we made as a class.
