Wow, what a lovely week we have had at Brigstock. The children have been busily working on their BHM art work, in preparation for Mrs Stephenson-Tye’s display. A lot of effort and hardwork has gone into their drawings and I am very impressed with the outcomes. all of the art work is based around inspirational black women.
Today, staff and children came to school dressed in as much red as possible to support the charity ‘Show Racism the Red Card!’
Year 4 and Year 6 also held a carnival in the hall where they got to dance, play musical instruments and try a range of different foods. It was a lot of fun!
To end the day, we held our very special Gold Award Assembly. Two children from each class were chosen the award for being a ‘Resilient Learner’. We are very proud of the children that received this award- What an achievement. Well done!
Thank you all for such a great start to the academic year. The last 6 weeks have been thoroughly enjoyable and I look forward to welcoming you back after half term, ready for lots more fun, laughter and hard work.
Have a lovely week off!
