Starting next week, Ecclesbourne is bidding for a cash boost from the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme, which provides grant awards of up to £1,500 to local community projects. Ecclesbourne has been shortlisted for a grant which we hope to spend on creating an outdoor reading space that children can choose to access at playtimes. Tesco customers can vote for the project that they think should receive the top award in their local Tesco store – we hope you will vote for us!
Voting is open in all local Tesco stores from the first week of April to the end of June 2024.
Customers will be given a blue token when paying for their shopping (there is no minimum spend) and can use it to vote for us by placing the blue token into the box labelled Ecclesbourne Primary School – Ecclesbourne Loves Reading. If you use the self-service checkouts, there should still be the opportunity to take a token and cast your vote. If there are no tokens available, please ask a member of staff.
