What an amazing week we had on our first poetry unit!
Our children have been busy studying the beautiful story ‘Julian is a mermaid’ by Jessica Love, set in the imaginative world of mermaids and sea creatures. They have used drama to explore the movements of these animals and have practised describing the actions using a range of verbs. Finally they have created both group and individual poems and performed them to the rest of the class.
