Year 2 and Year 3 enjoyed a monsterous poetry workshop in school today. Children created their own monsters, gave them interesting names and used some excellent metaphors and similes to describe them. We all had great fun using scrabble tiles to make up our monster names and experimented with combining random words to write our monster poems. Children also had the chance to perform their poems and we were so impressed by their creativity. Please have look at some of the poems written by Year 2.
