Little Ecclesbourne children have been reading the story Owl Babies. We have been talking about where owls live and exploring the materials they use to make their nests. We also collected food for our toy owls – toy worms, insects and frogs. The children loved painting and collaging owl babies and making owl headbands. The children have been using different tools to explore play dough to make nests for the owl family. We have been talking about our own families and comparing where we live. The children loved making houses and nests outside. The children also explored jelly where they discovered hidden families. In maths the children have loved learning songs about 1 jelly on a plate and 2 birds in a tree.
