Year 4 visited our local Hindu Mandir, Shree Ghanapathy, to further develop their learning on this term’s RE focus, Hinduism. We were greeted by the priest, who spoke to the children about the origins of the temple, Hindu traditions and significance of the statues. The children had the opportunity to ask questions, look around the temple and make links to what they could see. As always, the children showed great manners and respect. Many commented on the beauty of the building and intricate interior designs. Thankfully, after weeks of rain, we were able to enjoy dry weather, which enabled us to walk and enjoy the scenery. Thank you to the parents who were able to accompany us.
