Yesterday, Asteroids and Meteors classes from EPS visited the Buddhapadipa Temple in Wimbledon as part of their RE studies. After a brisk walk and a picnic lunch on Wimbledon Common, the children toured the temple grounds and then the temple itself (the first Buddhist temple in Europe). They were able to see the amazing murals that cover the temple walls, learn about Buddhism from a monk and even practise meditation with a meditation master! It was a great day out and the children really learned a lot about this ancient religion.
