This week, Cypress was delighted to welcome back, rapper, poet and story teller – Alim Kamara. He kicked off the exciting midweek session with a relatable and informative assembly, which encouraged the children to follow the current thought of the week, all about perseverance. After this, he spent the morning working with year 4 where he continued to inspire the children through his musical, comical and interactive sessions which ended with the children having the opportunity to showcase their djembe skills.
As always, all the staff and children thoroughly enjoyed the day and made it hard for Alim to get out of the building. What a pleasure! We look forward to the release of his book ‘Shake it off’ next month.
A big thank you to the PTFA for helping to fund and organise this fantastic day.
