This week, EPS took part in a national times tables competition set up by Times Table Rock Stars called England Rocks! Children in all KS2 classes were allowed to participate for one hour each day over three consecutive days and had to score as many points as possible. One correct answer equalled one point and so the pressure was on for our pupils to be accurate but also speedy!
In the end, it was a very close competition but Jupiter (Year 6) managed to win closely followed by Comets (Year 4) and Mars (Year 6). The final results were as follows:
Jupiter – 87, 632 points
Comets – 73,683 points
Mars – 55,412 points
These amazing scores resulted in Jupiter coming 119th nationally out of 30,188 classes and EPS coming 76th nationally out of 4,493 schools.
Well done to everyone who took part (and the competitive members of staff who encouraged them!).
