On Wednesday 15th March, a team of Year 6 pupils competed in the Authors Abroad poetry slam against schools from across south London. Each school had previously worked with Kimba on their original poems, and on the night everyone came together to show off their hard work at the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon.
Chanel, Sam, Muhtadin, Ahnaf and Sophia gave it their all on the night and wowed the crowd with their energy, confidence and timing. Their impressive performance of “A Radiant Whisper” dazzled the judges who awarded them the first place trophy! There was so much talent on display from all the schools who entered, and we are so proud to have been recognised as the winners on the night as competition was fierce.
