This week we have been thinking about Armistice Day and Remembrance. Mrs Roberts shared an assembly with the school where she talked about her grandfathers and the role they played in World War II. We have been raising funds for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal with sales of poppies and merchandise around school and on the playground. The House Captains also represented Ecclesbourne at Whitehorse Juniors memorial service on Thursday while the rest of the school observed a minute’s silence at 11 o’ clock. All of the children have been very respectful about this important annual event and shown good understanding of why it is still important to remember all those who served and continue to serve in our Armed Forces.
