Today a team of Year 4 children put their best foot forward at the Platform Cricket tournament. They played several games throughout the day, tallying win after win and getting through to the final which was very close-run, walking away with the silver medals.
It was an impressive finish for a mostly-inexperienced group who shook off their nerves to improve game-by-game. By the end of the day, they were really playing cohesively and the cricket coaches were particularly impressed by the EPS team’s bowling technique.
Mio and Shlok were awarded individual prizes in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the team. Everyone showed exceptional sportsmanship and teamwork qualities, which did not go unnoticed as a teacher from an opposing team came over to pronounce them role models!
