Ecclesbourne marked World Book Day 2024 with a celebration of all things poetry. It was so lovely to get together in the hall and enjoy seeing children of all ages performing poems of their choice – a great time was had by both poets and audience.
Some children selected a published poem they have been inspired by and others performed their own original work. All performers displayed confidence, enthusiasm and poise and all should be proud of themselves for standing up and doing such a great job in front of a crowd.
