This week, both our year two classes took part in an exciting workshop with RedSTART. RedSTART is a charity which delivers financial education to primary school children through progressive learning. The children took part in play-based games which helped them learn about the real-world consequences of spending, saving and budgeting. Year two discover what a budget was and made independent decisions on how they would spend their money when designing an outfit for their superhero. Some chose to splash their cash on a sparkly cape and make sacrifices on their superhero’s shoes, whilst others chose to buy lots of budget priced items so their hero was fully equipped. All of the children learnt lots and had a fun!
