CYPRESS: Sunshine and Success!

We have been enjoying the warm weather and working hard to finish our learning for the year. We have had a successful year and we know that is down to the effort we have given to our learning and the perseverance we have shown.

We have been saying goodbye to Year 6 this week. They have been a wonderfully caring and considerate cohort, and we will be sad to see them leave Cypress. They hopefully take with them many positive memories of their time with us. We have had parents join us for a special farewell assembly this morning, and they have also had an opportunity to say goodbye in a brief farewell assembly this afternoon. We also enjoyed giving them a ‘farewell clap’. We lined up along the corridors and clapped and cheered them as they walked through the school. It really was the perfect ending to their time with us.

Olympia were the winners of the House Points competition and enjoyed their party on Thursday! Well done Olympia for showing, resilience, positivity and determination all year. We salute you!

Cypress’ Got Talent

We have been very excited for the Cypress’ Got Talent competition that took place on Wednesday this week. We have so many entertaining and wonderful children here at Cypress; we definitely have children with talents that have been hidden until this week! Mrs Wayman, Mrs Baldry, Ms Brathwaite and I judged the acts and it was a tight race. Holly class’ Elias and Leo came in third place with a thrilling magic act, Beech class’ Bethlehem, Dotty, Ruby, Chidimma, Thomas, Tamila, Abbey won runner up with a fantastic singing and dancing act and Jessie in Rowan won the show with her comedy act. We all had an amazing time. Well done to all children who took part!

Superhero Fashion Show

On Wednesday, we were wowed by our youngest children in Rainbows and Nursery who took part in the ‘Superhero Fashion Show’.  The children were so confident and we saw some very inventive costumes and heard abut their amazing super powers.  Thank you to all the parents and carers who were able to join us.  A huge thank you to Mrs Chapman, Mrs Jerman and Miss Kokkini for all your hard work with the children.

Thank you

As we reach the end of another academic year, we would like to thank all out staff for the hard work and commitment they have shown.  Well done to all our pupils for your hard work and dedication to your learning.  Each and every one of you should be proud of the progress you have made this year.  Finally we would like to thank our parents, carers and PTFA for making this year another successful year at Cypress.

We wish all our children a wonderful summer and look forward to welcoming you back to school in September. For those leaving us for new adventures, we wish you continued success on your new journey.
