Last week was incredibly busy for Little Ecclesbourne. The children were learning all about Willbee, a busy bumble bee and how he helped flowers to grow. They used their counting skills to count his body parts – legs, wings, eyes and sting. For Pancake Day they all helped to mix the batter and enjoyed eating their delicious pancakes, with honey from their friend Willbee. They were very ‘busy bees’ outside preparing flower pots and troughs ready for planting, as we hope to attract lots of bees to our garden. Finally, the children loved celebrating World Book Day, by dressing as their favourite characters from their well loved books.
