BINF – Year 2 class assemblies 2025

What a week! The final week of the half term and the children just shine brighter and brighter.

This week, the children have been showing off their phenomenal performance skills in their class assemblies. Lilac class performed on Thursday and guided their audience through all their learning. Lead by Ms Fairclough and Mrs Heward, the children exhibited their extensive vocabulary, love of history and zeal for maths. Oops! I almost forgot the most fabulous part! They sang ‘alouette’ beautifully. Click this link to listen to a version of ‘alouette’  from Youtube but I’ll tell you now that it doesn’t sound nearly as sweet as Lilac’s performance.

Following on from Lilac’s assembly, it was Indigo’s turn. Indigo performed on Valentines day so it had to be an extra lovely assembly. Indigo class also took the audience on a learning journey; this time it was all about London in 1666 – The Great Fire of London. The performance had some amazing acting and narrating from Da’Shae, Lowri and Faseela.  All the children in Indigo exhibited theatrical mastery with the way they said their lines and performed their dance routines. The fire dance was my favourite part. The crowd’s favourite part was Indigo’s rendition version of ‘Firework’ by Katy Perry.

The earthshattering applause after each of these assemblies, tell me how much parents love to see their children perform. However, these shows are not possible without hard work from the teachers and teaching assistants. If you do see the teachers, after reading this post, express your appreciation.

See you next time.
