On Wednesday, Year 2 had their ‘Tudor Day’. All the children made a fantastic effort with their costumes and really looked the part! In the morning the children decided whether they would like to be known as a lord/lady/ King or Queen for the day. Then we were lucky enough to have a visit from a special visitor… Henry VIII! The children asked him many questions about his palaces and even who his favourite wife was! Later the children were invited to the banquet were they ate cheese, bread, grapes, cake and even drank some wine (blackcurrant squash). To end the morning, we then did some Tudor dancing and performed to each class. Well done to all the Year 2 children for immersing themselves fully in the Tudor era.
