Today, in assembly our school councillors treated us to a very special Harvest Festival assembly. We learnt about the reasons for harvest celebrations and then the children told us what they were thankful for. We also had a special visitor from Croydon Nightwatch who had come to collect the very generous donations of items for their service. Nightwatch have been supporting homeless people in Croydon since 1976 and provide urgent and necessary items of food, clothes, toiletries, pots, pans and household goods to people in need. They serve hot meals to Croydon’s homeless in Queen’s Gardens every night. We are very pleased to be able to support this important service.
Many thanks to Miss Carlucci for organising the collection and assembly and to all the children who kindly donated.
